DUNAMIS CHARGE is an affiliated company of Dunamis Clean Energy Partners, LLC, which was founded in 2012 and is a woman-owned, MBE certified OE manufacturer of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE). We specialize in providing intelligent, reliable, and user-friendly Electric Vehicle Chargers and Energy Management Services that exceed the needs of individual, commercial and utility customers to manage and optimize charging at home, workplace or public space.

Position Summary

DUNAMIS CHARGE is expanding into North America. We seek a business leader with an expertise in the sales and marketing of electric vehicle supply equipment.  Join our senior leadership team and help lead the country electro mobility transformation!

We are looking for a Vice President of Business Development, responsible for all North America market segments with a specific focus on electric vehicle infrastructure. The position will be based in the metro Detroit corporate office.  A hybrid of on-site / remote work is anticipated as the organization evolves. Significant travel to customers and trade events is required.

As a VP, this position’s mission is to contribute functional expertise in close collaboration with their senior leadership team colleagues to achieve DUNAMIS CHARGE overarching objectives. The position reports to the CEO.

The VP is responsible for developing and executing a dynamic sales, marketing and product strategy, while maintaining financial targets. The VP reports directly to the CEO.  DUNAMIS CHARGE is based in Detroit, Michigan.

 

The Vice Presidents scope of responsibility includes duties customary to the role, such as:
  • Develop and maintain a robust customer portfolio
  • Build an effective sales and marketing team
  • Develop and lead the execution of cross-functional customer account plans
  • Build strong customer relationships and provide the voice of the customer
  • Champion customer satisfaction
  • Prepare sales and volumes forecast
  • Monitor industry and market trends
  • Manage commercial offers, terms and conditions, and negotiations through all phases of a contract (quoting, series production and service)
  • Partner with the business development team on strategy, product plans, global account management, etc.
  • Partner with the communications team regarding trade shows, seminars, marketing materials, etc.
  • Collaborate with companies with whom Dunamis Charge has strategic relationships
  • Establish and maintain sales and marketing processes and procedures
  • Perform all duties in a manner consistent with DUNAMIS CHARGE Values and Code of Conduct
  • Serve as an inspiring leader across the entire organization
  • Leads the marketing department with servicing existing and potential clients
  • Coordinates preparation of departmental budgets and forecasts, along with monitoring and providing explanation of variances/exceptions/deviations
  • Establishes management information systems and technical procedures for assigned areas of company activity
  • Drives development of new products and product enhancements while adjusting to market conditions
  • Keep abreast of trends and changes in the market
  • Grow, develop, recruit, and retain talent
  • Attend various industry events
  • Full Control of Lead Management from Sourcing to Issue
  • Implementation and execution of marketing strategies
  • Develop and improve processes for higher issue rate
  • Evaluate Impact of current and marketing programs
  • Development of new lead generation departments (ex: shows and events, canvassing, direct marketing, etc.)
  • Direct oversight of existing marketing departments (ex: digital, graphic design, etc.)
  • Train staff and spearhead new sources of lead generation
  • Experience with some form of direct contact marketing a must
  • Proactively communicates with all members of management to build trust and deliver exceptional internal customer service
  • Provides strong leadership and management accountability aligned with the corporate culture
  • Ensures that direct reports are aligned with company culture and are consistently responsive to requests from management and other departments

  • Substantive experience with a proven track record working in and developing business relationships in automotive, electrification, mobility, and electric vehicle infrastructure industries
  • Experience building complex marketing programs and reporting on the results
  • Experience with digital and direct response marketing
  • Strong project and team management skills
  • Proven problem solving skills, and a today, not tomorrow attitude
  • Demonstrated understanding of Workers’ Comp underwriting parameters, philosophy, and pricing characteristics
  • Experience with SalesForce is a plus

Strong Candidate Likely Has The Following:
  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • 5 years in supervisory capacity
  • Business degree with strong technical experience, or engineering degree with an MBA
  • Substantive market knowledge and experience in electrification and mobility
Work Environment
  • Approximately 90% of the work is performed in normal office environment
  • The remaining work could be spent in a manufacturing facility
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Must be able to walk distances up to ¼ mile on a regular basis
  • Must be able to lift, bend, twist, stand, walk, push, and pull
Travel
